i want i want i want....

During the holidays I usually get all sad & mopey, practically being the only one around here that doesn't celebrate any type of holiday (i know, what a freak!) so to help perk up my mood, i normally reach either for a stack of pumpkin pies or LUSSSSSSSSSH.
Now as an employee I can indulge twice as hard (given my amazing discount, and first dibs on new fabulous shipments). I have to admit, the Halloween stuff this year (or shall I say day of the dead) is awesome. I want it all, and multiples of everything--I normally make all family members and friends try new lush. I'm like a soap pusher or something.
Anyways, the lush for x-mas and all the holidays of the like are really mood lifting which is what a lonely old sap like me needs!
Here is the beauty edition for 2010 (mostly just the faves)-

Angels Delight
It's a ridiculously attractive looking soap, just beautiful--inspired by an art piece that the founders of lush came upon when venturing through Europe I believe. It's filled tangerine & orange oils that naturally work as an anti-depressant. I have a slice of the pink glowy part, it makes my hands smell like orange candy.

Gingerbread House
I am in love with this bubble bar. With a cinnamon stick for a chimney & sprinkles for roofing tiles--what's not to like! It's made of Buchu which is a strong black currant--it works as an anti-inflammatory & antiseptic oil. And of Ginger, which is stimulating and gives an invigorating, warming bath.

The Boogg & Snow Globe
The Boogg is the white snowman's head to the right, it's another inspired bath bomb--taken from the Swiss tradition in which is an effigy of a snowman whose head is filled with fireworks. It's filled with lavender, myrrh, rosemary & thyme. It's rejuvenating & has a amber-rich aroma. One of the most exciting holiday bath bombs, like Dragon's Egg--it explodes in a flurry of colors and scents in the bath!
The Snow Globe  one is the clear blue mound with rounds of white. It really looks like a snow globe! It's filled with refreshing ingredients like lemon myrtle and lemongrass. An added plus is the grapefruit oil in it is used to lift the mood especially used for S.A.D (Seasonal Affective Disorder). Perfect for those dark winter months.

Glogg Shower Gel
Glogg is actually another inspired lush item from the swedish version of mulled wine, made from red wine, brandy, citrus fruits, cinnamon & cloves. I'm not a spicy indulgent type, i love florals & citruses, but this shower gel helps me get ready for bed with its warming rich aroma. The cinnamon quills in it which contain cinnamon leaf oil commonly used to fight depression, weakness & exhaustion.

Mandarin Tea Party Soap
Smells amazing. That's all you need to know. orange blossom oils & crystallized ginger to wake you up and keep you smiling.

Winter Bath BathBomb
This is actually my fave holiday bath bomb, with all its curative properties, how can it not be! It has the scent of sandalwood & cedarwood to mimic a japanese bathing experience, with soya milk to make your skin super soft and ginger to warm the skin, relax tense muscles, soothe aching joints & helps stimulate circulation. After a long day at work, or stress-filled afternoon with the folks--winter bath is seriously my best friend. It's a no frills, just straight up relaxation bath bomb.

Buche de Noel
I love this cleanser to so much, it's the one thing (among the several other lush holiday things) that i will need to buy in bulk this year. Buche de Noel is French for yule log. It's like the fresh face mask 'Santa's Rice Porridge' & Angels on Bareskin & Aqua Marina made love under the mistletoe! No joke! it smells so delightful, it's hydrating, very softening and filled with ground almonds, cranberries, satsumas, seaweed, china clay, brandy & cocoa butter. I use it as an exfoliant before my main cleanser. love love love it.

Maple Taffy Lip Balm
This smells like pie to me. it's moisturizing and sweet but not candy sweet, just maple syrup sweet with extra virgin coconut oil,Illipe butter, and japan wax (fantastic alternative to beeswax). I love to sue it right after my Bon Bon lip scrub--also apart of the lush holiday line.

Sugar Plum Fairy Sugar Scrub
Another item to stock up on...it smells like snow fairy with touches of jasmine, amazing scent! Made from british fair trade sugar, plum kernel oil & ylang ylang. I love how soft my skin feels after & how sweet I smell! I use it with snow fairy shower gel or glogg shower gel, the almondy jasmine scent goes with anything really!
