YES.
and no not brad pretending to be tavi type of dress up... by the way super psyched about nov 20th, you'll bet your ass i'll be waiting in line with two arms full of dresses and shoesssss. more like Acne Spring RTW2011--my fave label that balances geometric silhouettes with influences of the late sixties in every collection. (also very into the mix of male models with female models in the line up) This time around is was more about that free-spirit vibe, i don't want to say hippie because i def don't think it represented the bohemian trend at all, with previous collections, the wearer looked constricted but in a sexy powerful sort of way--strong embellished shoulders, mis-matched fur, blacks and golds--all very bold choices when paired with a tailored suit... especially with Fall's RTW10 urban/animal-istic concept.
Anyways, Spring RTW2011 has the signature dollhouse wedges but with a twist--black rectangular metal platforms wrapped in clear pvc, neutral colored tunics marked with Samoan motifs (NOT tribal tattoos lol but it IS inspired by a tattoo artist), high waisted maxi skirts and short shorts giving way to the late sixties influence of course, almost to the floor length sweaters, layering asymmetrical tanks with over-sized boat necks, seam-less button downs with microscopic collars, leggings' stitches astray, mesh tops over pvc pencil skirts, mid drift sheer tops layered over more sheer tops creating a shift dress look, bell sleeves cuffed with rib knits, dot knit bodices, translucent frothy fabric lightly printed in python, metallic pocketed shirt dresses, parka infused blazers, seersucker utility pants, and rounded shoulders as a new element.
After my recent utility maxi skirt purchase, i'm nuts over extra large pockets, drawstring simplicity & extra long anythinggg<3
