how do you say "it was just a misunderstanding" in Dior-speak?

I'm sure you've all heard about John Galliano being dismissed from Christian Dior; from what seems to be some serious anti-semitic remarks...he was first suspended by the fashion house after two Le Perle (bar in Paris) customers accused him of physical and verbal assault, then got arrested for pulling one woman's hair and calling her a "dirty Jew face". Now apparently theres a video of Galliano at the same bar telling customers, "I love Hitler," and "People like you would be dead today. Your mothers, your forefathers would be fucking gassed."
What I find funny though is how Natalie Portman, someone who used to firmly represent the brand decides that she's outraged by his comments and boycotts Dior down the red carpet saying
"I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano's comments that surfaced today. In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr. Galliano in any way," last I checked you changed your very jewish last name for hollywood....And what about Coco Chanel? I thought she was a certain army's personal atelier....
Galliano has worked under the French label since '96, so it's a bit shocking to hear that one of my favorite designers likes to say such childish things as "I love Hitler". The Dior Fall RTW 2011 collection did although look amazing, he did not venture out on stage, but all the patternmakers & seamstresses did. Its really refreshing to see all those that took part in those heavenly creations; and really emphasizes the fact that it takes a lot of hard work to embody the designer's vision. This vision being thigh grazing boots, velvet & brocade sleeves to truly emulate that bohemian meets urban cave-dweller vibe plus intense louche-layering to keep you warm for Fall. I think the signature 1920's makeup & floppy over-sized flamboyant hat wear presented that touch of romantic flair that the label will always and should always be known for--thanks to that very designer that was dismissed.
