Well i'm sure you've heard this already...Jean Paul Gauliter for Target...wait-marinate in it...Yeah, I knowwwww. Seeing as how Anna Sui for Target wasn't a total bust (unlike McQueen's graphic print atrocities and bland shift frocks last year) This year seemed to prove fruitful, I really felt that Anna Sui's imaginative expressionism was shown well through the sheer blouses, frilly shoulders and belted cocktail dresses. It was very Sui. Even the metallic floral, bright paletted frock was a confection I could see Anna designing herself. But my main question is, if Anna brought us lacy getups, will Gaultier bring us coney bras and 'under-outerwear'?
Either way, sounds like a very fun March ahead of us!
p.s. I'm all for cheap is chic, except when a designer pays a design team to come up with cheaply made garments that lack all brand image value. No offense McQueen.
