OMG, minimalism,OMG!

Just as summer rears its ugly (sweaty) head, I change my wardrobe to a cleaner, more free & light-weight sense of asymmetry. I can drape my pants, layer my scarves and keep my tops linen-free (...and my forehead sweat free) all at the same time!I have laid out all my options for summer, here they are & why:
1) No more black tights, instead I opt for easy breezy silk harem trousers for a cool slouched effect.
2) No more lame party bow headbands or hair goods that have that sparkle factor, instead I opt for a steady plain turban or floral print head wrap- it's about balance not frou frou!(and keepin the sweat beads off of the brow)
3)No more sequin-speckled, bejeweled or frilly embellished cotton tops, it's become tacky and irrelevant, instead I opt for draped asymmetrical tops made of Modal in greys, mauves, taupes and flamingo-coral pinks.
4) No more over-sized blazers or wool cardis, instead I opt for unique cropped jackets & faded jean jackets to keep cool and look effortless.
5)Finally, ditch the dark nail polish and opt for pale yellows, pinks, purples, seafoam greens & silver to keep up will futuristic trend without over doing it.

The runway follows in fluid motion, with designers mostly being directed towards long flow-y gowns that act as cover-ups. With summer rolling around hot as ever, I say go with thigh grazing pieces that are still modest in the most simple chicest way yet.
