Hair Chronicles Part #49284093850981632143514258059....

So I couldn't resist dying my hair again...

I have learned to hate, to kill (if you'd see my ends you'd agree) and to love my hair again & again.

I figured my hair being the pale yellow stage its at right now would equal fantastic time for turning it platinum. NO DICE.
I dyed it with a gold based creme called Clairol Professional Premium Creme Permanent Hair Color in 12G; which is the highest lift of gold. I know I want Ash or some type of Cool base, yet I never buy it because the hair swatches always look so unattractive (and inaccurate as I can say at this point...)
So I dyed only my back mid-lengths & front ends to even out color that I felt lacked blond luminosity.
When I rinsed out-not much difference.
So I toned up with Manic Panic Virgin Snow (for the last time since that crap does nothing for my hair) because it's vegan which is good for my hair & I had half a jar left over.
My hair color indeed looked more even and slightly lighter, BUT NO PLATINUM WAS ACHIEVED.
My hair took quite a beating. 3 bleachings,6 tonings & 3 dyes jobs = kaput for my hair.
It's officially doing what everyone in the hair community dreads about: breaking off, feeling mushy under water & looking like straw.
So this is me throwing in the towel, hair... I give up!
Will I go to a salon?

it'd feel like a waste since i've spent over 160 dollars trying to achieve platinum because I thought 275 was too much for a professional to charge; if I go to a salon I will end up paying the remaining amount to the salon- which in the end could of saved me all this hassle.
Plus I'd have to get a trim because all my ends look like the end of a broom!
I have been using Aphogee 2 minute keratin treatment every week and using a purple based conditioner with keratin amino acids in it every 2 days. So my hair will look better but not necessarily repaired.

The blond I want:

The blond I have:

minus the dark roots...

And Nicole Richie's blond isn't that bad, the multi-dimensional blond with highlights looks amazing but I'm not sure if the look is for me. Well I guess it'll have to be since I have similar colors to my hair right now...
