girls just wanna have fun

Okay. I've been trying to seem cool & collected...been trying to contain myself about the biggest shopping event of the year....but, couldn't help myself any longer! FNO is coming up Friday, Sep. 10th! So many things and soooo many amazing people will be there! I'm going with my friend Ellie, and we're totally going to take photos of every minute of it. Here's a history recap: FNO started last year in the middle of a fashion-starved recession, it was only in NYC and was developed in hopes of bringing shopping back on to our list of top priorities for Fall/Winter. Celebrities, Models & Designers come out in support of the event to help push us buy for Fall, test out for Fall & get excited about shopping for Fall.

Here's my to-do list:
1-Karaoke Karnival: At Kiehl's historic third avenue flagship, they will be selling their edition of Night's Out Skincare Essentials pack plus awarding one to those with fantastic pipes every hour. Karaoke here I come!Besides who could turn down a free ferris wheel ride & cotton candy?

2-Marchesa & Le Metier de Beaute: Chapman and the geniuses at Le Metier de Beaute have teamed up to create super slim palettes for fall, bronzer and blush in one hand-check! Plus I'm in lust with anything Georgina creates so it's a magnetic YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS for me.

3-Gucci Guilty Launch: It's been heard that the band Friendly Fires is to re-make the Depeche Mode song "Strangelove" in the perfume's commercial...luckily for those of us on Rodeo Drive- we get to sample the new scent and get a chance at winning a free record! First 100 walk away with superexclusive Friendly Fires vinyl.

4- Estee Lauder Photo Shoot- I won't be able to attend this one...the downs of living in a smog filled, fashion-less city called LA...but those of you residing in NYC-hop to this one! Aerin Lauder, Tom Pecheux and Lauder models with be on the fifth floor at Saks giving make overs, giving styling tips, and taking modeling shots of you to either be uploaded to your FB or just marveled at for future reference...looking flawless never sounded so fun!

5- Aveda's Pedicabs- Yet again, another amazing free feature for new york socialites, sans LA drunken neurotic club-goers... Look out for the pedicabs, for a free ride and free products from Aveda!

6-Rag & Bones versus Rogan/Loomstate- Ping pong battle to the death, customers may join in if they dare at Men's Barneys Co-Op on Madison Avenue (yeah I know, when does LA get to have fun...)

7-That Bitch Taylor: So called stylist/recently fired from Rachel Zoe; Taylor Jacobson will be showcasing her recent collab with Kasil denim, thankfully there will be complementary cocktails from Flawless Vodka, Hansen's Natural & Monster. it might be fun to take pics with her...after a couple of drinks...

8-Diane Von Furstenburg Giveaway: In LA's DVF, there will be cocktails, goodie bags, gift with purchase annnnnd a chance to win a DVF bag!

9-Pop Up Vintage Boutique: 'A Current Affair' will make an appearance offering the best vintage LA has to offer. There will also be a DJ & drinks by Fiji & IZZE.

10-Girls In Tech: At Saks in Beverly Hills, there will be free makeovers, rocker-inspired hair styling, backstage style tips, red carpet photos, VIP room, fall fashion giveaways....and more!

11-Shopping my ass off through the night...specifically for YSL new Rouge Pur Couture lip stick. I'm considering a classic red lip this fall, nothing too daring like the new plum shades.

Time: 6-11pm
Location: Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive....and all of LA??duh.
What to bring: my new gray knit harem trousers, my new black lace sweater & my new metallic pink loop scarf.....and of course my cutest heels in my closet!

So yeah, it sounds like they are having way more fun at NYC, but it's all about the boosting the industry's economic values in hopes of prevailing this nasty depression-like slump (ie. let's go to gap, because basics are safe wah wah..)

yeah...don't do that.
