Alber Elbaz is tired of all you plastic ladiessss

I haven't posted in while due to a week long killer hangover (just kidding, but the day of i did want to puke at the sight of food or at smells that were anything more than neutral--which was everything! i could practically inhale cheap purfume and puppy piss on the metro, nearly died from being disgusted) annnnd i have my lost glasses & dirty torn up flats to prove it (i have no idea why im missing my specs and my flats are ruined, but certain people i'd rather never speak to again is keeping me from further investigating it...)
Let me tell you people, when some unattractive guy dares you to double shot wild turkey--YOU DON'T DO IT.
Anyways I figured to make up a night of wild escapades & morning headache misery--I should atone by writing about one of my favorite humble men...Alber Elbaz.
Lanvin Spring 2011 is something I should of been writing about last season, but I've been too preoccupied with having chardonnay & vegan cupcakes with my boss at work (did two nights ago at the santa monica store! we're launching a huge purfume line ahhh, i love my job!) to keep up with all the beauty that walks down the runway as of late.
This collection, I feel is...like many collections that have the general theme of urban girl meets city chic. Then again Alber has the glamorous touch that most designers can never fully master or adhere to this upcoming season.  And by general theme, I mean the elegant leather harnesses (these babies are everywhere), A-line skirts, pairing flats with suits, the intense zipper detailing, the inflated bodices resembling many of the cosmetic surgeries women endure to achieve the very same sexiness Lanvin easily gives off, pleated one-shoulder dresses, embellished chokers, taupe cinch belts, second-skin dresses and my most favorite those asymmetrical nylon raincoats. Although I am a huge fan of the metalwork & dark swath-y prints in the end. I have a gut feeling we're going to be seeing gladiator skirts in the LANVIN x H&M collab very soon.....

I definitely think its more than a change in weather for Lanvin, it's a change of tune-- sexy can be in a wrinkle and sexy can represent a more truthful image.
