Nothing quite completes a pre-fall wardrobe like a shirt dress--or better yet a series of crepe mélange sweatshirts worthy of a high-end workout at the gym. Phillip Lim being a very modernist designer, once again proves that un-treated rabbit fur coats & over-sized t-shirts woven with abaca (a very sturdy fiber of the philippines--yeaaaah i knowwww) can make for quite a urban street dweller look without going over board, with the slight crystal embellishment at the collars it makes it easy to transition to office...well most work places.... pleats that reach to the very bottom of flared out shorts, belted body con long sleeve tops, cross hatched knits over long button down dresses, leather shifts with mesh sleeves, silk cardigans with extended lapels, the most recent trending item on every designers' runway--leather shirt dresses with over-sized front pockets made a few appearances at Phillip Lim (which im obsessed overrrr), 1990's stylized sweater waist knots over silk trousers, baby blue monochrome, 3/4 length jersey knit sweater shirts tucked under utility pocketed leather skirts, vest coats over mesh tops, dressy jacquard cardis with multiple layered flaps, seductive breast slit dresses paired with flats & ankle socks...all very modern and simple. I'm all about ankle socks with pleated jersey knit tie-up belt trousers--super sleek and easy to dress up or down.
