Word in the fashion world is that german fashion house-ESCADA, is having discussion for considering bankruptcy. Turns out the label is under a huge amount of debt (70.3 million euros to give some closure!)due to product sales loss. Escada's chief Bruno Saelzer (former head of Hugo BOSS) tried proposing for investors to cash in their bonds at a reduced rate, in desperate measure to save the company. They agreed, but to 46 per cent, straying far from the 80 per cent approval rate Escada's managers had applied for.
Is this the end for ESCADA?
