a painting you mustn't touch, you may only look. The more effort and technicality put into it, the more fragile and un-attainable it is.
I saw 'Julie & Julia' today. Fantastic movie. Julia Childs may have passed, but her inspiration for cooking & passion lives on in many books (and cooks!). I've also decided to go on a diet.yeah i know, weird right?
When Childs was questioned of what she thought of Julie, she didn't seem too happy about some 30 year old acheiving what she fought after for several years, but what took Julie only a matter of 13 months. Publishing was harder back then, especially for a woman. Nowadays anyone can get published. Anyone with a blog and a spirit for journalism can earn merit without really trying.
Which raises the question? When has flattery and admiration become overboard-like completely being unoriginal and making profit off of someone else's ideas/creations?
p.s. was Julia a spy in WWII?
And on another note: her shoes in the film were amazing, costuming did a great job in the film. Whenever meryl streep walking into a room, I would constantly watch for new footwear. just beautiful!!!
