beach goth & water highways

Oh, summertime.

So it's been critically decided that my new favorite summer playlist completely consists of Best Coast & Wavves. What better way to get along with summer heat for once than to soothe my angst with some surf guitar/lo-fi. And it has also been critically decided that Chloe Sevigny is my new style icon for all of summer. And no, I did not bleach my hair to its ashy banana yellow state in order to give close resemblance to my fashionable icon. Blonde is fun.
Oh, and my new fave summer hangout is Fullerton. WHY? my new fave Tea Lounge & American Vintage shop lies right there next to a high-end bar restaurant & art gallery. Sure there's a snobby Buffalo Exchange twixt between all its bountiful clothing glory, and the BE there is more like a ghetto Marshall's if anything. But...if I don't stare directly into the faces of the hopeless kids that work & shop there for hand me down Harajuku lovers bags & tainted Nike sneakers-I can still revel in my own happiness.
One thing I regret this summer: not hearing the song 'That's the way boys are' by Best Coast back in high school. it would of seriously saved years of suffering.hah.

By the way, notice anything different?
Yeah...the background has changed, new look leads to new posts, new posts lead to new info, new info leads to new thoughts, new thoughts equal new style ideas-yes?

Here's some photos I took by my dirty, grainy looking window because I promised I would post these babies a long time ago, summer has got me actively posting now. Summer used to be so lazy for me. Now it's POST,POST,POST MISSY!!!

This is my hair now...and it only took 3 bleachings, 5 tonings & 2 box-dye jobs. I hope you know I said that in a sarcastic manner. I like the look, but I'm not going to lie-I'm going 'Chanel Iman peroxide blonde wig' type of blonde very soon.

These are the vintage Manolo Blahnik boots that I was raving about a couple of posts ago. I found them at American Vintage for $22.00, they're my fave shoes at the moment. In great condition as well! I'm thinking circa 1985-1994; I don't know really though.

And these are the spikey sandals & knot heels that I bought out of sheer inspiration from Rodarte Fall 09,Alexander Wang slip-on sneakers & headband turbans.

I also got these at American Vintage, Alexander Wang inspired specs+snake ring.

Sephora's new colorful line:TOKIDOKI.
