While browsing the racks at Barney's the other day, I noticed something designers are getting obsessed about (also my new obsession)...leather! I mean, leather has been on the must have list for everyone for a while now (a-ha, phoebe philo!) But I encountered some classic pieces revisited in leather. I saw the most amazing deconstructed Maison Martin Margiela laser cut leather mesh top, next to that was a rack of Balenciaga--lo and behold I find a full on leather dress with impeccable cuts & pleats, three whole racks at the The Row was teeming with leather drop crotch pants/leggings/pleated skirts/vests & boxy coats, but of course at CÉLINE--being the most obvious culprit in the leather frenzy this fall, pieces not so obviously leather... cropped enclosure tops in camel, high waist slacks with cinch belt in (seriously the most sumptuous)leather and circular embroidered leather jackets.
i need a pleated leather skirt now (helllllllo prabal gurung mesh leather schoolgirl combo!)
p.s. i need this Mcqueen clutch sooooooo bad.
