Pre-Fall, pre-fall, pre-fall! After re-watching 'I'm not there', i'm a bit inspired by the 60's & 70's; and even more so by the art deco period... That is why i bring you Jason Wu's Pre-Fall 2011 collection at full speed. It's simple, it's sexy...annnnnnnd it's wide-legged? yeah. skinny trousers=out. Shirt dresses, ruffle shifts & lace tops=very in. From boxy double breasted jackets to ankle socks all in very muted, down played colors. Also a hit down the runway--leather peplums, slouchy v-neck knits over skirts, bathmat shaped skirts, see-through button downs & gem speckled organza gowns. It's simplicity at its finest. but is it too simple? like those t-shirts with build in necklaces....ew (or like eau de iceberg, thats not minimal--thats cutting down costs through the creative team!). Although I am a sucker for tiny square liner-less collars & knot tied trousers. very kitschy.
p.s. does anyone wear geoffrey beene button downs anymore?lol
