GOODBYE

It has become apparent to me that I'm no longer making much of a profit from Adsense (most likely because this blog is dead). Not saying that i only started this blog to make money--but started it to express my love of fashion buttttt as I no longer have time for it and my numbers haven't gone up as of recent (only 566 followers but I LOVE YOU ALL VERY MUCH)...I decided its time to call it quits. There is plans for an etsy shop in the near future, i've gotten requests to sell my old clothing/accessories, spring cleaning for me usually means for my wardrobe so stay tuned to my tumblr for more info on the date and the etsy  shop whereabouts.

i like navajo prints and fringe...sometimes. and spring/summer usually means lots of girls in torn jean shorts, navajo printed crop top in muted colors & fringed out boots. I, on the other hand, usually implement fringe on another level in my wardrobe, like black dip-dyed fringe hanging from an asymmetrical pocket on a crop top orrrrr the fringe i have hanging from my lace bib on my Anna Sui jersey top. I try not to make the trend so literal and sooo not something you can easily find at the bargain bin at F21.hah. southwestern motifs & belt buckles made of metal rounds aren't THAT appealing to me, sorry. butttt cross that print with belted pleated high waist slacks--and i'm listening...
I like how in Proenza Schouler RTW FALL11, they keep it simple--just an inspiration from which ideas are drawn then transform into something else completely, they are just prints. icing on the cake. The take on with the bright color trend is still lingering, paired with a drop waist petaled blazer and suddenly things get serious instead of being nomadic and homely. did i mention i adore those ornamental necklaces? printed slacks with leather top and over-sized silk blazer, one word. PERFECTION.

As i have noted in previous posts, how my wardrobe will somehow make this drastic change for color instead of my usual monochromatic antics--i decided not to follow in suit with a daunting trend that probably wont last the end of summer...neons are out. they never were really in to begin with but i know this SP/S--i'm playing it safe with neutrals (black,white,nude,blush) and few of my fave colors like seafoam green/mint, lavender/periwinkle, butter/nostalgic yellow. And for this spring, instead of taking the expected approach of busy busy busy patterns that make me vomit in dizzy whirl of florals, stripes & geometric prints...i've gone with see-through (chiffon all summer long babyyy), leather, peter-pan collars and pleats galore for my SP/S look. Cushnie et Ochs RTW SP2011 is in perfect example of my recent obsession. sad thing is, i'll most likely be shopping at AA all spring. great for my wallet, wonderful color variety of chiffon tops/shorts, just a really lame place overall.hah.

For SP11, i've decided to keep it simple with wooden stack wedges, maybe even a few brightly hued suede ones as well. not sure if im feelin the elevated flats trend. full-on creepers i can totally do, finishes that whole 90's goth vibe i've got going on. butttt for SP11, black patent elevated flats seems too ridiculous, and looks way uncomfortable. what do youuuu think? follow me and message me your thoughts on my tumblr:

golden boy (girl?)

As anyone that's met me or knows me, they know i'm all about showing minimal skin but will do black chiffon or mesh--day or night (many cases I have worn see-through tops in several inappropriate occasions) and it's always paired with leather bottoms, as for a jacket--voluminous sleeves and asymmetrical lapels. ring a bell yet of what fashion house i'm inspired by constantly???
Comme des Garcons FA11 Ready to Wear.
This Fall collection seems more summery in a sense that the hemline was definitely hiked up, lots of loose silk capes, organza shredded and frilly, one part school boy--one part little black riding hood(she's a traveler), the signature look of fabric balled up and ruched all over the wearer brought me back to her '97 collection especially the polka-dotted blazers--with the hair sharing much similarity in bunching, vintage scarves intertwined with distressed trenches, black ruffles held together with colorful garters, brocade shifts that were half coats, and yet again ankle socks with flats--i may find of my wardrobe choices definitely inspired by CDG every season but after reviewing CDG FALL11--i found a lot of choices that i made through sheer intuition...it makes me feel all warm&fuzzy inside to think that I have a one track mind...KAWAKUBOONTHEMIND.
love the fact that the hair looks like its drenched in gold.
